Piano

At the piano the whole of music lies under both hands: melody and accompaniment at once. Getting started is direct — a note sounds at the first press of a key, without having to be found first. That makes the piano the most common first instrument and the foundation for everything to do with music theory. Eight teachers give piano lessons here; those who already play will find a direction of their own in jazz piano.
