„With many years of experience in different aspects of music teaching and in concerts with various early music ensembles, I offer pupils a relaxed atmosphere in which to get to know their new instrument, the piano. With all its details and facets, from technique to the musical fundamentals of theory, I guide pupils with a great deal of patience and understanding.“
After training at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Beatrix Scherer spent several decades at the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts of the University of Pécs as an assistant professor in music theory subjects and as a piano teacher at the grammar school of the arts. Alongside this she deepened her knowledge of early music, attending courses with Jan Booke, Miklós Spányi and Léon Berben among others. As a continuo player she was a regular participant in baroque concerts on the Pécs music scene. She founded several renaissance and baroque ensembles and led renaissance dance evenings and courses.
