Tenor horn

The tenor horn is the heart of southern German wind music: softer than the trumpet, more agile than the tuba, and usually responsible for the middle voice. It sits well in the hands, the first note comes quickly, and because it is notated in B flat like the trumpet and clarinet, changing later is easy. Two teachers give tenor horn lessons — this is a subject in which we train regularly for the region’s wind bands.
