Electric guitar

The electric guitar is not a louder version of the classical guitar but an instrument of its own: thinner strings, a flatter neck, and a sound that only comes into being in the amplifier. With headphones it can be practised quietly. From blues through rock to funk the path runs through rhythm and playing together — band playing is part of it. Two teachers give electric guitar lessons; previous experience on an acoustic guitar helps but is not required.
