I grew up in a large family of musicians and had my first cello lessons with my stepfather Andreas Rossmy at the age of four. At 17 I began studying in Munich with Prof. Reiner Ginzel. I continued my studies with Prof. Michael Flaksman in Mannheim and completed them with the artistic diploma in cello. I have played under conductors including M. Rostropovich, K. Penderecki and Sir Colin Davis. Recordings for CD, cinema, radio and television followed. I have also given German premieres and world premieres in concert, including works by Prof. Dieter Acker. I was principal cellist of the Cruxient Classics Ensemble in Munich and am a co-founder of the Trio Bachmann and the Kammerorchester Bachmann. I have performed as a soloist and chamber musician at various festivals, including „Sommersprossen“ in Rottweil and the Ascoli Piceno Festival in Italy.

My teaching covers a broad spectrum — from early musical education to whole-class music making, individual and group lessons and ensemble and orchestral work. I have taught at various music and art schools and was, among other things, a guest lecturer in cello at the Feuermann Conservatorium in Kronberg near Frankfurt.
