It is a wonderful task to accompany people as they discover music, and the music within themselves. With its marvellous range of sound, the harp offers so many different ways of giving that musicality expression. As a teacher of concert and lever harp it matters to me, alongside craft, the necessary technique and the musical fundamentals, above all to awaken and sustain a love and joy of music, and to recognise which experiences, sounds, pieces and encouragements each individual pupil needs in order to develop.
