Stephan D. Weisser, from Stuttgart, studied classical guitar and elementary music education in Trossingen (Germany) and Örebro (Sweden). As a soloist and in various chamber music line-ups he has already performed in Germany, England, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland. He supplemented his studies with seminars and masterclasses with Leo Brouwer, Hubert Käppel, José Tomás, Rolf Lislevand and many others. Taking part in various CD productions as well as radio and television recordings in Germany, Hungary and Sweden rounds off his artistic profile.
Stephan D. Weisser has led a guitar class at the Jugendmusikschule St. Georgen/Furtwangen for years and has taught as head of the guitar department at the Musikakademie Villingen-Schwenningen since October 2005. His guitar pupils regularly include prizewinners of national and international guitar competitions as well as participants in various talent shows.
