„A child is not a vessel to be filled, but a spark to be kindled“ — François Rabelais

At the centre of my work stands the person, usually the child, with their individual abilities and needs. They should have the opportunity, in an open-minded and peaceful environment, to experience the great and varied world of music, to get to know it, to keep their joy in it, to bring their individuality to it, to help shape it and to grow. My enthusiasm for music and for the content of my lessons should leap across to others like a spark.

It was clear to me early on that music should also be part of my working life, and so my path began with a qualification from the vocational school of music in Krumbach. I then completed my studies at the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen in 2008 with accordion and conducting as principal subjects. Alongside many years of work in elementary music education and as an instrumental teacher at the Musikschule Trossingen and in the surrounding associations, I have taken part in various seminars and further training in choral direction and elementary music education. Most recently I completed the part-time course „Foundations of Elementary Music Education“ under Prof. Ulrike Tiedemann and Prof. Michael Dartsch at the Bundesakademie Trossingen.
