This notice describes what happens to personal data when you visit this website. It is deliberately short, because this website processes little: there is no contact form, no newsletter, no comments, no audience measurement and no user accounts for visitors.

If you only view the website
In order to show you a page, your device has to communicate with our server. Your IP address is processed in doing so; without it, the response cannot reach you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a functioning and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website is hosted by OVH GmbH. In front of the server there is a cache operated by the same provider and located in Strasbourg, which delivers frequently requested pages. The host processes the data as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR and exclusively within the European Union. The page with the registration form is expressly excluded from the cache.
Which access logs the host keeps, and how long it retains them, is governed by our contract with it. We do not evaluate such logs and do not combine them with any other source of data.
Cookies
Merely visiting this website stores nothing on your device. Our server does not set a single cookie.
Cookies only come into being once you make a choice in the consent dialogue. They then record how you decided, so that we do not have to ask again every time you call up a page. They are set by the consent management tool Complianz, which runs on our own server; no data is transferred to third parties in the process.
| Name | Purpose | Storage period |
|---|---|---|
| cmplz_banner-status | Remembers that you have already answered the dialogue | 365 days |
| cmplz_id | Random identifier by which your decision remains demonstrable | 365 days |
| cmplz_policy_id | Version of the notice you have consented to | 365 days |
| cmplz_consented_services | Which individual services you have consented to | 365 days |
| cmplz_saved_categories | Which categories you have consented to | 365 days |
| cmplz_saved_services | The state of your selection in detail | 365 days |
The legal basis for storing them is Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act): it is necessary in order to provide the service you have expressly requested – namely to respect your decision. The documentation of the consent itself is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
You can change your decision at any time. At the end of every page you will find the link to the consent settings for this purpose.
No audience measurement
This website does not count visits, does not compile statistics and does not load any analytics service from Google or any other provider. Should this be set up at a later date, it will happen exclusively by way of the consent dialogue and only after you have agreed; this notice will be amended beforehand.
Fonts, maps, social networks
All fonts are held on our own server. No fonts are loaded from Google or other providers. We do not embed maps.
The links to our pages on Instagram and Facebook are plain links. No buttons or tracking pixels of these networks are loaded. Only when you click on such a link do you leave our website, and the terms of the network in question then apply.
Videos
There are videos on the pages about the instruments. They are not loaded when the page opens. At first all you see is a still image from our server. Only when you press the play button is the video loaded from youtube-nocookie.com. Until then, YouTube learns nothing of your visit.
With that click, your IP address and details about your device are transmitted to Google Ireland Limited; a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out in this process. The legal basis is your consent given by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you do not press the button, nothing happens.
Online registration
The registration form is the only place on this website where we collect data from you. In most cases it concerns a child; the details are then provided by the person with parental responsibility.
Which details: surname, first name, date of birth and gender of the pupil; street, postcode, town, email address and telephone numbers of the family; the subjects requested, type of tuition and teaching location; in the case of minors, the legal guardian. Consent to photographs and additional remarks are optional.
For what purpose: to process the registration, to provide the tuition and to administer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – the processing is necessary for the tuition contract and for the steps taken prior to entering into it. Consent to photographs is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Bank details: no bank details are currently collected through this website. You grant the SEPA mandate separately to the office.
What happens afterwards: the registration is stored in the database of this website and transferred by the office into the school administration system. You will receive a confirmation to the email address you provided; this confirmation is required by Section 312f BGB (German Civil Code). The notification to the office deliberately contains no personal data, only a link to the protected area of the website.
How long: the registration remains in the database of this website for 90 days at most; after that it is deleted there automatically. Retention in the school administration system is governed by the teaching relationship and by the periods laid down in tax and commercial law.
Disclosure: your details are not sold, not rented out and not used for advertising purposes. They reach the teacher who gives the lessons and the office. They are passed on to public authorities only in so far as we are obliged to do so.
Email and telephone
If you write to us or call us, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We keep such messages for as long as is necessary to deal with them and for any follow-up questions.
Please note: an ordinary email is not encrypted throughout on its way to us. For particularly sensitive information, please use the telephone or the post.
Your rights
In relation to us you have the following rights:
- the right of access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- the right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- the right to object to processing that is based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected. Please contact us at the address given above in order to do so.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
No automated decision-making
We do not take any decisions based solely on automated processing, and we do not carry out profiling.
