Freunde der Jugendmusikschule St. Georgen-Furtwangen e.V.
The photograph taken at the annual general meeting in May 2025 shows that the work is also great fun.
2024: The first music school festival, held at the end of June 2024 in the music school building in St. Georgen, was a real highlight. Alongside musical performances and various activity stations in the building, the Freunde der Jugendmusikschule provided the catering. The cakes were donated by the families taking part in the early musical education performances. The Freundeskreis treated all the young musicians to a delicious ice cream.

Freundeskreis der Jugendmusikschule Furtwangen e.V.
Since 1984 the Freundeskreis der Jugendmusikschule Furtwangen e.V. has supported the work of the music school in many ways.
Where the music school’s own funds are not sufficient, we step in, for example to finance necessary instruments or special sheet music. We provide the catering at concerts, and we support exceptional talents or participation in music competitions. In this way we serve the aim of making musical education accessible to all under the best possible conditions. Successful events and special experiences are as much a part of this for us as the basic instrumental lessons at the music school.

Proludium e.V. Königsfeld
For music school pupils from Königsfeld
As a member municipality of the Jugendmusikschule St. Georgen-Furtwangen e.V., the municipality of Königsfeld contributes a fixed subsidy towards the cost of instrumental lessons. Depending on the number of pupils from Königsfeld this amount is not always sufficient, which is why proludium e.V. covers the shortfall. This allows all children to receive lessons on the same terms.
proludium e.V. also provides subsidies towards the purchase of instruments on loan and supports families in financial difficulty with individual grants.
We finance these costs through donations at concerts and events and above all through membership fees.
