Everyone should be able to use this website well. As we develop it further, we follow the requirements of WCAG 2.2 at level AA and of the German BITV 2.0.
What is already in place
- The website can be operated with the keyboard.
- Links and controls have visible focus indicators.
- Moving content can be paused and respects the “reduce motion” setting.
- Forms have labels, markers for required fields and understandable messages.
- Videos are only loaded after a deliberate click.
- Every page is also available in Einfache Sprache (plain German).
Not yet fully tested
Before the site goes live, there will be a full test with keyboard and screen reader, contrast and magnification tests, and a review of all imported PDF files and alternative texts. The texts in Einfache Sprache were produced with machine assistance and have not yet been reviewed by members of the target group. Einfache Sprache is not the same as Leichte Sprache under DIN SPEC 33429: it uses short sentences in ordinary running text and carries no certification mark. This website currently offers neither Leichte Sprache nor German Sign Language, which § 4 of the German BITV 2.0 provides for public bodies.
