Use this form to register yourself or your child for lessons — both for lessons at the music school and for lessons within a school cooperation. You fill it in once, whichever way you choose.

If you would like to try instruments out first, our annual taster days are the right place to start.

You do not register for choirs, ensembles and orchestras here: that goes through the instrumental teacher, who suggests the right ensemble and registers the participation with the office.

Start of lessons

The music school year has two starting points: the winter half-year begins on 1 October, the summer half-year on 1 April. These two dates are the norm.

Starting on the first of another month is possible if a place is free in the subject (§ 3c of the school rules).

The amounts are monthly instalments under the current schedule of fees and represent an annual fee spread over twelve months. The calculation is not binding: the office decides on group size, discounts and membership fee with the confirmation of lessons.

Binding registration

By submitting this form you make a binding registration. The contract comes into effect with our confirmation of lessons (§ 3a of the school rules). Until then we check whether a place is available in the subject you have chosen.

Lessons continue until they are cancelled. Cancellation is possible at the end of a half-year, that is on 30 September or 31 March, and must reach the office in writing four weeks beforehand (§ 5 of the school rules).

This is a courtesy translation. In case of doubt the German version of the school rules, the schedule of fees and the notice of withdrawal applies.

Membership of the supporting association

Non-residents and all adults must be members of the association that runs the music school (§ 3d of the school rules). The membership fee is charged every six months in addition to the lesson fee. The form works out from your postcode and town whether you live in one of the member municipalities; if that is wrong, you can set it yourself above.

Your details are processed for the registration, for teaching and for the related administration (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Bank details are stored encrypted and are not sent by e-mail. Consent to photographs is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.

Photographs from lessons may be published Concerns photographs in which the registered person is recognisable. Can be withdrawn at any time.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract was concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform us — Jugendmusikschule St. Georgen-Furtwangen e. V., Bahnhofstraße 27, 78112 St. Georgen, Germany, telephone +49 7724 4968, e-mail jms@jugendmusikschulen.de — by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form for this, but you do not have to.

To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this repayment we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you be charged any fees for this repayment.

If you have requested that the lessons should begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to the lessons already given up to the time you inform us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal, compared with the full extent of the services provided for in the contract.

I expressly request that the lessons begin before the withdrawal period has expired. I understand that in the event of withdrawal I will pay a proportionate amount for the lessons given up to that point.

SEPA direct debit mandate

This form is currently not asking for bank details or a SEPA mandate because encrypted storage is not set up on this server. The office will send you the mandate separately once your registration has arrived.

These details are not passed to the AI language assistant or to Google Analytics.
